NEW CASTLE NEWS– The Lawrence County courts are still reeling from the untimely death six months ago of an attorney who was an inspiration to his coworkers and clients in the criminal justice system.

Lawrence County Central Court paid homage to attorney Aaron Michael Cangey by dedicating a court bench with a plaque there in his memory. Judges, attorneys, court personnel, family and friends crowded into the defendant’s waiting room in the court to share in the loss of one of their own.

That room is where Cangey, an assistant public defender, had met many times with the majority of his clients.
